Phase 1a: BRS Crash Course Series

CALLING ALL FIRST YEARS!
Congratulations on completing your first term at ICSM! We hope that you are enjoying your time so far and are settling into life at medical school.
MedED is delighted to announce the Year 1 BRS Crash Course Series which will be providing you with remote teaching on Neurology 🧠, Endocrinology 🤰, the Musculoskeletal System 🦴 and Cardiology/Respiratory Medicine ❤️.

These sessions will be delivered remotely by a cohort of Year 2 students, co-led by Ria Varma and Viraj Shah. The dates for the crash course sessions are below:
Neurology – 23rd January
10:00-15:00
Endocrinology – 7th February
10:00-15:00
Musculoskeletal – 20th February
10:00-15:00
Cardiology/Respiratory – 13th March
10:00-16:30
We envision that being taught by your Year 2 peers in focused, comprehensive teaching sessions will enable you to get a head start on your BRS revision.
The next crash course will be held from 10am to 4.30pm on Saturday the 13th of March covering the Cardiorespiratory System:
10am-11am: Cardiovascular Mechanics & Circulation (Chelsea)
11am-12pm: Cardiac Cycle (Zain)
12pm-1pm: Lunch Break
1pm-2pm: Airways, Ventilation & Gas Exchange (Ishani)
2pm – 3pm: Cardiorespiratory Mechanics (Rayyan)
3pm-3.30pm: Short Break
3.30pm-4.30pm: Control of Heart & Lung Function (Romilly)
