‘DO NOT ATTEMPT THIS CONVERSATION’ – New Medical Ethics Stage Play

The play, ‘DO NOT ATTEMPT THIS CONVERSATION’, follows a junior doctor finishing a late shift who is suddenly asked to lead a DNAR conversation with a relative she has never met, about a patient she does not know, under intense time pressure. It explores communication challenges many medical students and junior doctors encounter on clinical placement, alongside the emotional reality that can arise in these situations.

The production is premiering at:

• Lion & Unicorn Theatre (2–6 June 2026)
• Bread & Roses Theatre (25–28 June 2026)

As this story reflects experiences many students recognise from clinical training — particularly around difficult conversations, uncertainty, and responsibility early in practice — I thought it might resonate especially with your members. If you would be happy to share the event with your mailing list or on social media, I would be extremely grateful.
