Student Networking Event: Generation Prevention: Parliamentary Summit

I hope this finds you well. My name is Izzy; I’m the Education Programme Executive at the Lady Garden Foundation.

The Lady Garden Foundation is a national, high-profile women’s health charity on a mission to improve the outcomes of gynaecological cancers. Through awareness, education, and research funding, we empower women and girls to understand their bodies, recognise symptoms early, and seek care with confidence to prevent and increase early detection of the five gynaecological cancers.

Education sits at the heart of our mission. In 2025 alone, we engaged 29 universities, reached over 160,000 students, and distributed more than 15,000 copies of our flagship resource, The Vagina Dialogues!

We have lots of exciting things planned for the 2026/7 academic year. To kick things off, we are excited to announce that this June, we are holding our very first Student Networking event, entitled Generation Prevention: Parliamentary Summit. It will take place on Friday 5th June, from 1:00pm–3:00pm in the Strangers’ Dining Room at the House of Commons, Westminster. This event will be kindly sponsored by The Rt Hon the Baroness Nicky Morgan of Cotes, former Secretary of State for Education and Minister for Women and Equalities.

We would love to invite members of Imperial Medical Society to apply to attend!

This is an exclusive, fully funded opportunity for a small number of outstanding students to:

  • Network in the amazing setting of the House of Commons
  • Meet exceptional industry leaders
  • Connect with ambitious, like-minded students from across the UK
  • Gain practical skills from career workshops
  • Get a free professional headshot!

Attendees will be carefully selected based on their initiative, potential, and desire to make a meaningful impact in the world and their desired fields.

Importantly, this event will also serve as a recruitment moment for our next cohort of Lady Garden student ambassadors. We are looking for the very best, most engaged students—those who want to take action, lead on campus, and be part of a nationally recognised charity network. In return, we are planning for our 2026/7 Student Ambassador programme to be bigger and better than ever, with more support, more fundraising and education initiatives, and more rewards for our ambassadors. You can find more information on our ambassador programme here.

We would love for students who are genuinely passionate about women’s health to be a part of our ambassador programme.
