On 12th March a Paediatrics and Child Health Public Event will be held at Chelsea Football Club between 10am and 3.30pm.
We are looking for volunteers to assist with welcoming and stewarding guests. Volunteers would need to be available for one or both of the morning and afternoon sessions and will need to arrive in time for a pre-event briefing ahead of doors opening to the public.
- Morning session 09.00-12.30
- Afternoon session 12.15-16.00
The event is being organized jointly by Imperial College’s Centre for Paediatrics and Child Health, the Mohn Centre for Children’s Health and Wellbeing, Imperial NIHR Biomedical Research Centre, the Patient Experience Research Centre, and West London Children’s Healthcare. Coinciding with British Science Week, it will be a public showcase of research and health innovation activities and anopportunity for dialogue with the local community about child health priority needs and solutions. Highlights will include:
· interactive exhibits
· research café
· a competition for local schools
· presentations and live Q&A with expert panel
· opportunities for informal discussions and networking
The event will increase awareness of Paediatrics and Child Health research and increase engagement with local public, patients, and stakeholders.
