Medical Student Essay Competition – win £250!

Action for ME is inviting medical students to enter an essay competition and win £250.

To enter, students at any Medical School in the UK, need to complete a free online CPD module on Myalgic Encephalomyelitis (ME) sometimes called, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS). This usually takes about an hour; this resource should inform the essay they submit.

Essay title: What is your most important learning point about ME/CFS? (500 words)

While writing the essay students should consider the gap between their understanding of this condition before they accessed the CPD module and afterwards. Also, how this knowledge will enable them to better support patients with this condition in the future.

Further information on this is in the attached poster that has a QR code to take students to information on the competition. This information can be viewed online at: Medical student essay competition – Action for ME.

All essays need to be accompanied by a completed cover sheet and be submitted by noon on the 3rd of November. Essays need to be emailed to: scotland@actionforME.org.uk.

Best wishes

Avril
