Monday 16 June, 16:30-17:30, Charter 3Day 1: FAKE NEWS! Challenging the Evidence in Urology 📰Chairs: Mr Arjun Nathan & Professor Prokar Dasgupta Day 1 asks the burning question: has fake news infiltrated your daily urology practice? We’re here to do a fact-check. Professor Freddie Hamdy, Editor-in-Chief of BJUI, will deliver our keynote lecture on “The Challenge of Misinformation” setting the scene for what promises to be an eye-opening session. This will be followed by our myth-busting panel “Dogma or Doctrine?” featuring experts across all subspecialties, Jon Aning (Oncology), Tamsin Greenwell (Female/Functional/Reconstructive), Richard Hindley (Male LUTS), Maria Satchi (Andrology), and Oliver Wiseman (Stones). They’ll pick apart the key research you’ve taken for granted and challenge everything you think you know. The session concludes with Cameron Alexander introducing the LANDMARK Project: a single-point resource for the key papers in urology that will revolutionise how we access evidence. |
