Chelsea Physic Garden – Audience Development Focus Group

Chelsea Physic Garden is an over 350 year old botanic garden just along the River Thames. Founded in 1673 by the Worshipful Society of Apothecaries, our mission is to demonstrate the medicinal, economic, cultural and environmental importance of plants to the survival and well-being of humankind. Today, we also strive to be a ‘Garden for All’ where everyone feels welcome. For this to be possible, we would like to understand who visits the Garden, who doesn’t, and why.

We’re looking for 6-8 students who are studying at institutions within 30 mins of the Garden and who haven’t visited before to participate in a Focus Group. The session will last 1.5 hours long and we will be asking questions about their awareness of the Garden and what might encourage them to visit/visit again.

To thank participants for their valuable time, we will be offering £50 giftcards and reimbursement of travel (within Zone 1-6 only).  Tea, coffee, and snacks will also be provided.

The student session will be run on Thursday 9 May 2:30pm – 4pm at Chelsea Physic Garden (66 Royal Hospital Road, SW3 4HS).
