National University First Response Annual Conference

Dear Medical School,

We are delighted to invite your students to the second National University First Response Annual Conference (UFRAC 23) at Lancaster Medical School. This conference is open to all medical students and with an interest in Pre-Hospital Emergency Medicine and volunteering with Community First Response (CFR) schemes.

Having attended the previous conference hosted by University of Nottingham (UoN) in 2022 we were excited to host this year’s. Our scheme was in its infancy when we attended Nottingham’s conference, and we learnt so much from their talks. A year on and we have 22 dedicated responders that are ready to be up skilled to advanced CFR.

Therefore, with our ever-growing and newly developed scheme we are enthusiastic to share our progress and discuss ideas on how to establish schemes in other universities. As well as hear from speakers who play a major role in pre-hospital emergency care in both professional and volunteer capacities.

We will be delivering talks about our own scheme’s journey and then move on to workshops and presentations from pre hospital emergency services. There will be an opportunity to enter a poster presentation with prizes provided by our sponsor.

(Posters to be relevant to pre hospital or emergency medicine and can be in the form of a case presentation, to be submitted to luresponders@gmail.com by 17th of October).

We will release a detailed timetable closer to the conference date. This is an excellent opportunity for students to network nationally and learn from existing student CFR schemes.

If you are interested, then please fill out this google form either from the link or you can scan the QR code to register. https://forms.gle/XpFMQxFU6dNuzboM9

Kind regards and look forward to seeing you there!
