Many of the FY1 doctors at St Mary’s hospital have put together a teaching series on preparing to transition to FY1 (aimed at final-year medical students but accessible to all years below and other healthcare professionals). The series is overseen by Ms. Li (one of the T&O consultants at the trust).

The series is constituting 6 teaching sessions, with the aim of covering everything from the logistics of on-call shifts, ways to communicate with other specialties and make referrals, and common medical and surgical encounters that new doctors will have to manage throughout their careers.
