The Venture Catalyst Challenge (VCC) is Imperial’s flagship student innovation programme. It empowers founders with vital skills, exposure and acceleration to thrive beyond university life in the wider commercial world. The programme delivers workshops, business coaching, 1-2-1 expert sessions and pitch training, and has a generous total prize fund of £100,000.

This year marks a special 10th anniversary edition of the competition and is not to be missed!

Over its ten-year history, the VCC has demonstrated an impressive ability to identify and nurture successful ventures. Previous participants have gone on to raise over £200 million in funding and create over 750 jobs. Notable success stories include Notpla, who won the coveted £1,000,000 Earthshot Prize in 2022 and whose Co-CEO and cofounder Rodrigo Garcia Gonzalez will be delivering the Keynote Address at the Grand Final.

Be sure to attend the university startup competition finals of the decade and meet the businesses of tomorrow!

The Grand Final is the showpiece of the VCC competition. Five finalists (chosen from an initial cohort of 25 teams) will pitch their ideas to an expert panel of judges for the chance to win the Grand Prize of £20,000!  There are five sector-specific track areas, with one finalist represented in each area:

·       Creative and Consumer – sponsored by Imperial College London

·       Health and Wellbeing – sponsored by Novartis

·       Digital and Finance – sponsored by Santander Universities
