SURGE is an international surgical teaching committee that is hosting a 4-week free online course to give students an overview of all surgical specialties. It includes pre-recorded and live teaching sessions on general and specialty-specific surgical topics, suturing workshops, talks on how to get involved in research, interviews with surgeons about their experience in surgery as well as quizzes on the material covered. This is open to medical students (year 3+) from all around the world and Foundation year doctors. Certificates are provided to all participants after satisfactory attendance and completion of the course. Previous attendees have shown a positive response towards the course.
