The London Surgical Symposium is going to be held on Thursday 10th of November at St Mary’s.
For those of you who haven’t been before, this is an annual cross-discipline surgical conference organized by the Department of Surgery and Cancer and is a great opportunity to spend a day learning from leaders in our field and hear about research coming out of our department.
We have a brilliant program with some fantastic speakers from within and outside of Imperial. The even better news is that this year much of the elective activity for general surgery across SMH/CXH and HH has been cancelled for the day so that as many of us can attend as possible.

The event during the day is free (due to kind sponsorship from charity and industry) but you do need to register on the website as space in the lecture theatre is limited and we need to prepare numbers for catering. Make sure you do this ASAP because tickets are nearly sold out!

After the meeting, there is an evening reception at 170 Queens Gate in South Kensington. This should also be wonderful. Tickets (that you can purchase on our website) include a welcome reception, drinks and a 3 course dinner so are very good value at £45 for non-consultants and £75 for consultants (again due to the kindness of our sponsors). We need to give final numbers to the venue by November 1st so make sure you don’t miss out on this either!
