Join the British Orthopaedic Medical Student Association

After the very successful launch of BOMSA (British Orthopaedic Medical Student Association) last year, with over 95% of UK medical schools involved, we are looking to recruit local representatives from each University to form our BOMSA Regional committees for the 2022/23 academic year.

This is a fantastic opportunity for anyone who is interested in T+O or surgery, allowing you to network with BOMSA/BOTA/BOA members, collaborate with other students across the region to hold great region-wide events, and receive support from BOMSA for your University events.

The Google form attached contains more information regarding what the role involves, and what you can expect to gain from being part of BOMSA.

From each University, we are looking for two representatives – one from each of the T+O and Surgical society committees. However, if your University does not have a T+O society, both members can be from the Surgical society. Traditionally, rights of first refusal go to the society presidents, but this year we are opening up applications to the whole committee.

For each region, a regional lead will also be appointed from those of you who join the BOMSA committee as a local representative for your University.

If you are interested in joining the BOMSA Regional committee, please fill out the attached Google form, and submit it by Sunday 16th October.
