New Frontiers in Treating Disease and the Implications for Human Health

The Institute of Global Health Innovation is delighted to host a special guest lecture by Geoffrey Von Maltzahn.

Geoffrey is an inventor, entrepreneur, CEO and co-founder of multiple groundbreaking companies in healthcare and agriculture and has co-founded companies that have achieved over $10 billion in public and private market capitalisation. Geoffrey has created companies that include Tessera TherapeuticsGenerate BiomedicinesSeres Therapeutics and Sana Biotechnology.

Geoffrey has deep expertise in genome engineering, the microbiome, bioengineering, and nanotechnology and is listed as an inventor on over 200 patent applications and patents, as well as co-authored more than 20 peer-reviewed articles.This event will discuss new frontiers in treating disease and the implications for human health and how innovations in cell and gene therapies and advanced biologics are paving the way for new medicines to reach more people.

Event details

The event will be held in-person on campus. The event is open to all.The venue will be in Lecture Theatre 1.31, Royal School of Mines, South Kensington Campus. Registration for the in-person event is required due to strict limited capacity and places will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis.
