Bitesize Surgical Teaching Program

We have launched a “Bitesize” Surgical Teaching programme aimed at Medical students and FY1 Doctors, which is a face-to-face programme designed to cover common surgical conditions and their management in 30-minute sessions.

This exciting lecture series is being carried out across 3 sites including Basildon, St Mary’s (London) and University of Birmingham hospital.

The dates and location for the lecture series are as follows, please sign up to register your attendance here, especially if attending outside your home institution. Certificates for attendance will also be provided.

30th October – Nasal Trauma

6th November – Epistaxis

12th November – Periorbital cellulitis

14th of October – Neck of Femur Fracture

17th of October – Cauda Equina Syndrome

4th of November – Bowel Obstruction

11th of November – Diverticulitis

Birmingham University Hospital (Location TBC):

5th November – Flexor tenosynovitis

12th November – TBSA Burn calculations

18 November – Necrotising fasciitis

29th November – Compartment Syndrome
