The Emotional & Physical Impact of Online Learning on Students – Questionnaire

As part of the ‘Thriving Not Just Surviving’ research project, financed by the President’s Fund for Learning and Teaching, we are conducting an exploratory study on The Perceived Impact of Online Teaching and Learning on the Wellbeing of Staff and Students, particularly those from underrepresented groups. This project is led by Professor Sue Smith, Emerita Professor of Medical Education, and Dr Ana Baptista, Strategic Lead for Medical Education Transformation, with two medical students, myself and Rhi Svenson (CC’d) also collaborating in this research strand of the project.

We are inviting those who were Phase 1a or Phase 1b students in the 2020-21 academic year to complete a 5-minute questionnaire. As recognition for participation in this research we will be offering the opportunity to enter a prize draw for a £50 Amazon voucher. One voucher will be awarded for every 50 completed responses. In addition, if students are interested in exploring this topic in further detail in a short phone/ video interview they can leave their email at the end of the questionnaire. Interviewees will also receive vouchers.
