Target Ovarian Cancer Prize 2022: Submissions now open!

The Target Ovarian Cancer essay prize 2022 is now open and accepting applications from all UK undergraduate medical students.

By entering the prize undergraduate students have the opportunity to:

  • Improve their knowledge of ovarian cancer
  • Boost their CV
  • Win up to £750

Awareness of ovarian cancer is low, both among women and healthcare professionals. Two thirds of women are diagnosed once the cancer has already spread, making the disease harder to treat. It is crucial that healthcare professionals in a wide range of specialties are aware of the presenting symptoms of ovarian cancer.

Together we can make sure women in the UK have the best chances of survival, by ensuring the doctors of tomorrow are more aware of ovarian cancer.

If you have any questions or would like any further information, please contact Dr Sharon Tate on essay@targetovariancancer.org.uk. Information on how to apply can be found at targetovariancancer.org.uk/essayprize.
