Questionnaire – Reminder Study Invite
Reminder Invitation to participate in the research project titled: A national evaluation of medical student perspectives on the resources and/or services most useful for improving their wellbeing and mental health.
We wrote to you two weeks ago asking whether you may be interested in participating in our research study. If you have already completed the survey thank you very much for giving up your time to participate in our study. We are writing again in case you missed the first email, or haven’t yet had time to complete the survey, but may still like to participate. This is the final email that we will be sending to you in relation to this first questionnaire.
If you have already filled in the questionnaire, you only need to do it once.
We are writing to you as you are currently enrolled on the undergraduate medicine programme. We are conducting a research study to enable us to increase our understanding around medical students’ wellbeing and mental health. In particular we would like your perspectives on resources, services and or tools that you use to improve wellbeing and mental health whilst you are a student. We would like to invite you to participate in our study.
Taking part in the study involves completing an anonymous online survey. The survey will include demographic questions, as well as open and close questions around your experiences with wellbeing and mental health and mental health and the techniques/strategies that you use personally to improve/maintain your wellbeing and mental health and mental health.
The survey will take between 10-20 minutes to complete. All information/data that you provide will be anonymous and will only be accessed by members of the research team and will be held in accordance with all applicable data protection legislation.
There is no compensation for participating in the study, however your participation will provide valuable information enabling us to find out what medical students from different universities find helpful for their wellbeing and mental health and mental health during training. This will enable us to provide recommendations for UK universities to implement to improve essential student health and wellbeing and mental health and be proactive in engaging students to look after their mental health.
Your participation in this research project is entirely voluntary and it is up to you to decide whether or not to take part. If you decide not to take part, you do not have to explain your reasons. If you are unsure about whether you wish to participate, please contact a member of the research team who will be able to discuss the research with you and answer any queries that you may have.
