AHSC COVID-19 Seminar – Understanding and treating long COVID

Imperial College Academic Health Science Centre (AHSC) is working at the forefront of research and patient care during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Long COVID is a term used to describe people who continue to suffer from fatigue and other symptoms like breathlessness and muscle aches weeks or months after the viral infection has resolved.

The AHSC is delighted to invite you to an online seminar on Wednesday 17 November 2021 from 13h00-14h00 in which two experts will talk about their work on monitoring the spread of long COVID in communities and developing a diagnostic test to detect the disease.

Our speakers are:

Professor Danny Altmann, from the Department of Immunology and Inflammation at Imperial College

Professor Helen Ward, Clinical Professor of Public Health and Director of the Patient Experience Research Centre at Imperial College

You can register using the link below or email us at ahsc.news@imperial.ac.uk.

The seminar is free and open to all and the AHSC looks forward to welcoming you to the event.
