‘Diagnostics: Building capacity and capability in the UK’ conference

Register online to attend this free conference hosted by the Royal Society and the Academy of Medical Sciences which will explore advances in the diagnostics sector and the opportunities and challenges towards building capacity and capability within the UK. 

Supported by AstraZeneca, the meeting will form part of the Royal Society’s Transforming our future conferences in the life sciences, and the Academy of Medical Sciences’ FORUM programme.

The event is being organised by Professor Dame Anne Mills CBE FMedSci FRS, The London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, Professor Rebecca Fitzgerald FMedSci, University of Cambridge, and Dr Ian Campbell, LifeArc.

The conference will open with Professor Sharon Peacock giving an overview of the diagnostics sector, followed by Elaine Warburton, QuantuMDx, on developing a successful diagnostics business, leading to a talk on the perspective as a patient and considerations for new technologies. Speakers will also give a series of technical presentations showcasing breakthrough science and technologies, leading to a panel discussion focusing on broader issues within the diagnostics sector.
