“Health Inequalities Faced By Transgender & LGBTQ+ People” Workshop

We are a group of Junior Doctors and Medical Educators, who have created a workshop in collaboration with 56 Dean Street (one of the largest and leading Sexual Health and HIV clinics in the UK), focussed on raising awareness about health inequalities faced by Transgender and LGBTQ+ people. We will also explore the way clinicians communicate with these patients and potential challenges.

The workshop will involve observing clinical encounters and interacting with a panel of expert patients and clinicians from the LGBT community.  This is a rare opportunity, and you are unlikely to ever have any teaching on this during your undergrad training.

There are currently only a limited number of places per workshop. They have been running throughout the year, and will continue to run during the next academic year.
