The goal of the International Mixed Reality Grand Rounds is to foster an international dialogue and discussion about complex clinical cases broadcast and brought to you bedside using the Microsoft Hololens2 Mixed Reality Device. This session will feature XR-rounding and discussions of patients with complex complications of COVID-19 including COVID-induced respiratory failure requiring ECMO (extracorporeal membrane oxygenation) as well as COVID-induced mesenteric ischemia. Additionally, we will be highlighting some of the imaging and holographic applications and capabilities of the Hololens2 for teaching, education, and surgical interactions. The session will be interactive with audience polling, participation, and an informal Q&A discussion following the cases.

The International Mixed Reality Grand Rounds Program is sponsored through a partnership between our medical and surgical XR (MSXR) initiative at the University of Michigan along with Imperial College London and Microsoft.
