Coronavirus Tutoring Initiative

Coronavirus Tutoring Initiative (CTI) was set up in March 2020 by Jacob Kelly, a 3rd year student at Oxford, with the aim of providing free tutoring to disadvantaged students during school closures. Since then, we have grown exponentially! Currently we have over 4000 volunteer tutors helping over 2000 disadvantaged students across the UK, with nearly 60 volunteers behind-the-scenes coordinating the initiative. So far we have provided over 33,000 hours of tutoring via our online tutoring platform Bramble. It’s an amazing initiative which is really helping many pupils across the UK, and is highly rewarding for the tutors. Unfortunately we have a 200+ waiting list of tutees who urgently need our help, so we are looking for volunteers to give just 1 hour a week to help tutor a disadvantaged pupil. You can tutor at any level from KS3 to A Level, any subject, and training/safeguarding is provided.

Any interested tutors can sign up at https://coronavirustutoring.co.uk/ or email publicity@coronavirustutoring.co.uk for more information (or they can email me at j.ellins19@lms.mrc.ac.uk).
