The Leadership in Medicine Society UEA is back and for our first event of the year we will be exploring Women in Medical Leadership.
It was back in 1875, that women were first allowed to study Medicine. Since then, we have seen significant improvements to the role of women in the field, yet women are still largely under-represented in positions of leadership.
Hear from three remarkable women, all of whom are successful medical leaders:
- Professor Lesley Regan, Secretary General of the International Federation of Gynecology and Obstetrics (FIGO) and the Immediate Past President of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists
- Miss Lynette Spalding, East Of England Trauma and Orthopaedics Teaching and Education Association Support Fellow
- Dr. Fizzah Ali, Editor-in-Chief of Medical Women magazine and Clinical Fellow on a secondment at the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence
Please find below an Eventbrite link for the event. We’d be very grateful if you would circulate this among your students.
