Gender Bias and Stereotyping: Medical Education Study Recruitment for Year 6

Have you been told that ‘GP is better for women’ or ‘you have to be man enough for surgery’? Have you experienced gender bias/stereotyping during med school and has it influenced what you intend to specialise in?  If you would like to share your experiences in a focus group then please get in touch!

I am conducting a study examining gender bias and stereotyping in relation to GP and specialties such as surgery, and would be keen to recruit Year 6 students who are considering specialising in either. Online focus groups will be held in Jan/Feb and last approx. 1 hour. Please contact Dr Ellie Gunning on e.gunning@imperial.ac.uk if you would like more information and to sign up.
