Union Update

Hi everyone,

It’s been another exceptionally busy couple of weeks for ICSMSU. There are 2 major things underway at the moment – (1) the ICSM protest against BUCS and (2) the ICSMSU Exec elections.

I sincerely hope you have all taken a moment to read my email about the protest against BUCS. This is a hugely important issue, which threatens our identity as medical students at ICSM, so I would strongly urge you all to read the email if you haven’t already.

This protest is a make or break opportunity for us at ICSM to unite with the other London medical schools and show our solidarity for the future of our medical schools. Please spread the word about the protest and join the Facebook event here to show your support and for more details about the protest.

Voting is underway for the ICSMSU Exec 2013! You can vote here until 12pm this Friday 15th March. Please take a moment to vote for who you would like to represent you next year and please continue to show your fantastic support for all the candidates!

Finally, I hope you’ll all join me in wishing our final year medical students the very best of luck with finals which start next week!

ICSMSU protest against BUCS

Just this one afternoon could make such a huge difference to the future of our medical school so we need every single one of you who loves ICSM to come down and show BUCS that we won’t go down without a fight.

We will be protesting alongside students from all the other London medical schools – don’t miss this chance to be on the same side as students from the likes of GKT!

The protest will be taking place at 2pm on TUESDAY 19TH MARCH outside the BUCS Head Office (20-24 Kings Bench Street, London, SE1 0QX).

Nearest tube station: Southwark (Jubilee Line)
