Meet with students who require assistance individually, whilst ensuring any relevant welfare information is distributed to all students. Run ICSMSU campaigns. Attend ICU Council, and other ICU Committees.
Best Bits:
When someone thanks you for helping them with their problems, especially the simpler (easier to resolve) ones. Best feeling ever.
Worst Bits:
With some issues, you feel completely out of your depth/have no idea what to do. However don’t worry, it’s good practice for when you’re a F1, plus the FEO staff are SO helpful and the majority of issues they have dealt with before.
Advice:
Know what you’re letting yourself into: it’s especially important to know what the whole job entails. I guess the most important thing is to make sure you have a good support network for when it gets stressful and a bit too much. Figure out in your head, the worst case scenario and how you think you might handle the situation on a professional and personal level.

Elect your Year Reps early and empower them! They are your greatest assets, as they are there on the “front line”. Whatsapp groups are really useful, and make sure you always keep in touch and check up on how everyone is doing.
