Through AMSA, we offer opportunities to take part in student-led research, mentoring-academic schemes and social events to meet and chat with other medical students. Of course, we accept members from any background and culture.

The major events in our social calendar include the freshers meet and greet, our Christmas dinner and Chinese New Year dinner. We also hold a number of smaller events such as bowling, karaoke…

Asian Medical Students Conference (AMSC)

AMSC is the biggest event in our calendar and is held in a different country and over 25 countries take part. This is a great opportunity to travel Asia, make friends and to add to your CV!

Asian Medical Students Exchange Program (AMSEP)

AMSEP is an exciting scheme where there is an opportunity to travel to an Asian country for a preclinical/clinical exchange.

Academic sessions

Our academic sessions are aimed at helping you out with your studies! We run a weekly lecture series for the 3rd years and hold a much sought after mock OSCE. Our mentoring scheme provides those interested with one on one teaching on the areas that you need and is available to all years.

Volunteering

We run a volunteering scheme in the Chinese community centre here in London. There’s something for everyone from teaching disadvantaged school students to educating the elderly about their medications and accessing healthcare here in the UK.
