Imperial Medicals Cricket Club (IMCC) is the cricket club of Imperial College School of Medicine (ICSM). Our cricketers consist of both members of the student body here at ICSM ranging from undergraduates to postgraduates, years one through to six. We are also fortunate enough to frequently be joined by our busy young doctors who have recently graduated from the medical school. IMCC have a comprehensive winter net programme honing our skills ready for our thriving summer season where we compete at both a local and national level through the United Hospitals of London League and the National Association of Medical Schools league. We are the reigning United Hospital Champions 2011/12, thus highlighting our position as the very best club in London.
Alongside our seasonal UH League and Cup fixtures, IMCC also tours as a club to various parts of the country and world. We regularly compete against other Medical Schools in the country in the annual NAMS competition, and are also privileged enough to be able visit and play the village of Cheriton Fitzpaine in Devon every year. This tour dates back to the days of Charing Cross Cricket Club, and it is an honour for us as a club to still be welcomed whole-heartedly so many years on. We have even ventured to the more tropical climes of Barbados, where alongside playing various different matches, we were able to use our medical knowledge to help spread AIDS/HIV awareness throughout the area. We are planning on returning to the Caribbean with a tour to St. Lucia in the pipelines for the Summer of 2013, so there is no better time to get involved with Imperial Medicals Cricket Club!
