Basic Surgical Skills Plastic Surgery Course
We would like to invite you to the fourth rendition of our FREE course run by the Plastic Surgery Department at the John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford on 4th July 2017. Please see poster attached for more details.

This national course aims to teach you the fundamental skills and principles that are applied in Plastic Surgery, covering knot tying, suturing techniques, wound management, local anaesthetics, excision of skin lesion, and basic concepts of local flaps. The course will be taught through short lectures and practical sessions with animal tissue.
The course will be led by consultant and SpRs to ensure the quality of teaching is optimal.
Who should attend?

Any medical student interested in:
• Perfecting his/her suturing and knot tying skills
• Learning or fine-tuning his/her knowledge on wound healing
• Pursuing a career in Plastics, ENT, Maxfax, Gen Surg, Dermatology, A&E or other applied professions
• Learning the skills and principles used in Plastic Surgery

There are 35 places available offered on a first come, first served bases. In previous years this event has sold out very quickly so please book early to secure a place.
The course is FREE but to ensure all places are filled on the day and places are not wasted, we require £30 deposit which will be refunded on attendance.
